WORK EXPERIENCE

At Gateway College, one of our top priorities is to ensure that our young people leave College work ready, with the skills, knowledge and experiences they need to have successful careers.

In order to achieve this, we deliver courses and qualifications that align with the needs of employers and provide opportunities for students to get real life work experience.

Work and Industry Placements

Part of a full-time course, our students are expected to complete work experience. We believe that allowing students to obtain a true insight into their industry through a placement is priceless.

These opportunities can be pre-planned, are flexible, and align with both our curriculum and our employers’ needs. This ensures that what our students are learning in the workplace can be reflected in, and related to, their programme of study.  

Placements can vary from one or two weeks to three months (usually as a part of T Level qualification)
