Gateway Sixth Form College is excited to introduce a range of new courses starting in Autumn 2026, designed to give prospective students the skills, knowledge, and real world experience needed for future success in engineering and marketing industries.
First-ever Engineering courses at Gateway College
The 2 year AAQ Engineering (with A Level Physics or A Level Chemistry and A Level Maths) pathway helps students understand how scientific and mathematical principles are applied to solve real engineering problems. Students will explore engineering principles, materials, design processes, and key mechanical or chemical concepts through both theory and hands-on practical work with our subject specialist staff.
The course is assessed through a mix of exams and coursework over two years and can be studied alongside other A Levels. It provides a strong foundation for progression into university, apprenticeships, or careers within engineering and wider STEM industries.

Brand new T Level qualification
T Level in Marketing offers a high‑quality, career‑focused qualification equivalent to three A Levels. Students gain a mix of academic learning and real industry experience, including a 315 hour placement that develops practical skills in a professional setting. Throughout the programme, students explore consumer behaviour, digital marketing, branding, campaign planning, and the wider business environment. Assessment includes two exams, an employer‑set project, and coursework.
By the end of the course, students will be ready to progress into roles in digital marketing, advertising, and brand development, or move on to higher apprenticeships or university. This T Level provides a strong foundation for anyone looking to begin a career in the marketing and business sector.
