5 GCSEs grade 4-9 including English and Maths

Assessment

Year 1: Core Component

This component covers the underpinning knowledge, concepts and skills that support threshold competence in the Media industry

• Core Paper – 2.5 Hours Written Exam (worth 60%)

• 15 Hours Employer Set Project (ESP) (worth 40%)

Year 2: Occupational Specialism in Content Creation and Production

The following components covers the Occupational Specialist knowledge and skills required to demonstrate threshold competence for the specialism. The Occupational Specialism is assessed by a skills-related project that synoptically assesses the performance outcome skills and associated underpinning knowledge.

Content Creation and Production – Externally Set Project (worth 100%) Students who complete their T Level will receive an overall grade of Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction*. Students will get a nationally recognised certificate which will show their overall grade and a breakdown of what they have achieved.

Course Overview

Students will learn the core knowledge and skills that are needed for entry to a range of media, broadcast and production occupations.
