Health and Social Care courses give a good foundation for working with vulnerable people and the Level 2 course is a sound progression to study at Level 3. Courses and careers you can progress on to include: Counselling, Paramedic and job roles in the NHS, Health Promotion, Educational support work, Social Work specialising in children, adults with additional needs, older service users etc, Probation and Police, Youth and Community Work, Nursery Nurse and Child Care.
Many students that study the Health and Social Care Cambridge Technical Level 2 Diploma progress onto the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care at Gateway College before progressing onto a university course or entering full time employment or an apprenticeship.
You will need a DBS check to make sure you are suitable for work experience in the health and social care sector.
