Gateway Skills and Employer Engagement Morning: A Collaborative Pathway to Success

The Careers and Employability department hosted a CPD event for all teaching and corporate staff at Gateway College. The purpose of the event was to create meaningful connections between educators, employers, and external stakeholders.

This event presented a unique opportunity for curriculum members, Student Experience and Additional Learning Support teams to engage with industry experts, ensuring that Gateway College continues to offer relevant and future-focused educational experiences.

Some of the highlights of the morning included

  • Exciting updates from the Careers and Employability team, Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP), and Local Authority representatives
  • Insightful conversations with external stakeholders to review and align curriculum design and implementation with employer needs and industry trends.
  • Networking session between staff and employers for a chance to highlight the development of crucial skills that students need for the evolving workplace.
