This course is designed for students who like Art and Media and are interested in drawing, painting, print making, 3D Design and like using interactive Multimedia.

To access the Level 1 course you need to have gained an Entry Level 3 qualification.
You need to be keen and motivated to join in with various activities.
You will develop a portfolio of units. For each unit you will be given an assignment brief and a work log book. You will gain a BTEC Award in Art and Design.
This course is designed for students who like Art and Media and are interested in drawing, painting, print making, 3D Design and like using interactive Multimedia. The units to complete are; Introduction to the creative arts and media, Developing multi- media products, Investigating interactive multimedia products, Explore mixed media and Explore 3D design crafts.
In addition to your course specialism, Functional Skills maths and English, Employability Skills and Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) are embedded within your programme of study. At the beginning of your course you will complete a diagnostic assessment to identify your starting point level.
If you gain the ASDAN Short Course Expressive Arts and also complete the ASDAN COPE Certificate Level 1 you will be able to progress onto Art or Media courses at level 2.
