This year’s national showcase proved once again to be a fantastic opportunity for our learners to connect with fellow students, staff from colleges across the country, and industry delegates from leading games, animation, and VFX studios and organisations.
Each year, we are amazed by what our students can achieve together, and this year was no exception. Their game, Arctic Dust, was featured at the event, attracting attention from attendees who took the time to play and offer valuable feedback, giving our students a well-deserved spotlight to present their hard work with pride.
Throughout the event, our learners engaged in meaningful conversations with industry professionals and Higher Education representatives. In one case, these conversations led to promising offers, a testament to the talent, creativity, and potential we recognised in them from the moment they joined us in the ‘Nerd Cave’ at Gateway College.
This showcase marked a proud conclusion to their two years with us and an exciting beginning as they move forward into new opportunities they will forge for themselves in the industry and beyond.
We are also delighted to share that our NextGen cohort received the Tutor Choice Award, marking our third consecutive win at the showcase.
Adam Miller, course tutor, shared a heartfelt message for the class of 2025:
“To Yasmin, Travis, Tamjid, Aidan, Isaac, Alex, and Hakeem – you all mean a lot to us. Go out there, enjoy yourselves, and make the most of your talents. You will make your universities and places of work a better place.”
We are incredibly proud of our learners and look forward to seeing the future they will create in the games, animation, and VFX industries.
